The design of 2050 Grand Concourse pays homage to the building’s rich stylistic context, reinterpreting themes of the Art Deco movement for contemporary affordable housing. Brick and metal, both prominent Deco-era materials, are used across the exterior; and corner windows, a distinct feature of the era, have been included as well. Bold geometric forms which were characteristic of the period were introduced through details such as angled planes at the window openings and varied base heights accentuated by contrasting materials.
Building amenities include a first-floor laundry room which opens onto a landscaped terrace and a thirteenth-floor community room flanked by two roof decks. These three spaces comprise the entirety of the top floor, offering views of the surrounding neighborhood and the New York skyline.
